Job summary

Extraco Banks is seeking a Mortgage Processor in Texas. The role supports the mortgage lending process from application to closing, including appraisal and title work, and requires attention to detail and strong communication with customers and partners.

Responsibilities include using Byte Enterprise, reviewing data for underwriting, and collaborating with Mortgage Consultants to drive loan volume. A High School Diploma is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma/GED Required. Bachelor's Degree Preferred.

Experience

1+ years of mortgage origination/processing/underwriting and/or comparable experience in financial services/banking industry preferred. 1+ years of banking experience or related field required.

Knowledge Requirements (i.e. skills, abilities, personal characteristics):

Excellent customer service and communication skills, critical math skills, knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite (Exel/Word), mortgage loan processing software beneficial and credit/underwriting/processing experience a plus.

Critical Tasks

• Understand the process of mortgage lending from application to closing including your role in the process including appraisal and title work.
• Become proficient in Byte Enterprise platform, factual data and desktop underwriting.
• Attention to detail and organization is critical in order to stay on top of conditions and documentation required to meet closing deadlines.
• Friendly communication with customers, realtors, builders and title companies to set expectations about the process including what you will be requesting.
• Ability to work with Mortgage Consultants as a team member who is motivated to help increase loan volume in a support role.

Other Duties

• Communication positively with all Mortgage Team Members and Extraco Banks Team Members.
• Perform in a support role to allow the Mortgage Consultants to meet with customer sand handle marketing for the branch.
• Represent the branch and Extraco Banks positively inside and outside the Bank.
• Complete required compliance training.
• Learn investor websites and other mortgage data concerning underwriting regulations. Maintain knowledge of mortgage products and industry changes.
