Job summary

AmFirst in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor responsible for gathering financial data and credit information used in the credit decision process and preparing loan documents for underwriting. This role also ensures that all documents are complete and in file order prior to submission to Underwriting, and that each loan file is prepared and ready for loan closing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher or certifications equivalent to degree.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and train others.
• Light lifting and regular attendance are required.

Responsibilities

• Process files from opening through closing of each loan and be primary contact for all parties involved.
• Assemble documents to meet underwriting guidelines and obtain necessary items from customers.
• Review documents for accuracy and determine required documentation for loan file while ensuring compliance.
• Analyze borrower tax returns to determine qualifying income and complete FNMA Form 1084 analysis.
• Coordinate with borrowers and other parties, communicating status and questions in writing and verbally.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
