POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for evaluating all information supplied on the mortgage loan application, verifies the validity of the information and assembles a completely documented file to Underwriting and Closing. Acts as the primary liaison between the loan officer, realtor, builder and customer(s).

ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES

• Maintains knowledge of all policies and modifications to the guidelines and standards of the company.
• Maintains and updates loan application information within loan origination software and other applications.
• As applicable, orders appraisals, title, verifications, and any other items required for loan approval; conducts regular follow-ups with outside sources regarding outstanding documents.
• Verifies the data collected, analyzes, and decides whether it meets guidelines or if other documentation is needed; documents communication through the conversation log; ensures loan application is in compliance with investor guidelines.
• Possess skills to effectively communicate with management, lenders and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 4 year Degree (Preferred)
• 1+ year mortgage experience in recent loan processing.
• This position required strong communication (verbal and written), analytical and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates judgment and decision making ability.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, with the ability to learn other mortgage-related programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Ability to perform work utilizing a computer for extensive periods of time.
• Ability to perform work utilizing a calculator.
• Ability to grasp objects using fingers (fine motor manipulation).
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
