Are you passionate about the mortgage industry with a keen eye for detail? We are seeking a Permanent Mortgage Loan Processor to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our operations, requiring a candidate who is detail-oriented, has excellent customer service skills, and possesses strong oral and written communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in handling mortgage loan files and closing paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and verifying loan applications and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinating with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to obtain additional information and clarification on discrepancies.
• Preparing and maintaining loan files from opening to closing.
• Ensuring that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified, and complies with company policy.
• Updating and verifying data into the loan processing system as needed.
• Coordinating with the closing department to ensure a smooth transition and timely closing.
• Providing excellent customer service by effectively communicating and cooperating with all internal and external customers.
• Keeping up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the mortgage industry to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and laws.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor or a similar role in the mortgage industry, would be ideal but not required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage loan products, loan documents, and closing paperwork, would be ideal but not required.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
• Excellent customer service skills with a proven record of maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficiency in using mortgage loan processing software and other related computer applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong decision-making skills.
