Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Cary, Illinois is looking for a Mortgage Loan Originator who will be responsible for the origination of residential mortgage loans. You will develop referral contacts and maintain an extensive knowledge of loan products and processing procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a desire to excel in a competitive environment. Compensation is largely incentive-based, supported by extensive benefits programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
• Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
• Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
• Registration required under the S.A.F.E. Act through NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Develop referral contacts (realtors, builders, etc.).
• Maintain knowledge of Fifth Third Mortgage Company’s policies.
• Collect appropriate documentation from each applicant.
• Manage pipeline for all originated loans through closing.
• Attend Consumer Lending meetings as required by management.
