Job summary

Dream Finders Homes in Irvine, CA is seeking a results-oriented Loan Originator to grow loan business, service clients, and maintain relationships with referral partners. You will work to close loan packages with excellent communication.

The role requires mortgage industry experience, CA NMLS licensure, and familiarity with Encompass/SimpleNexus. Weekend on-call rotation may be required, and you will collaborate across loan officers, processors, escrow, and title.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a mortgage loan originator.
• Licensure with the NMLS in CA.
• Experience with Encompass, SimpleNexus, or Candid.
• Willingness to participate in weekend on-call rotation 1-2x/month.
• Strong relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills.
• Intermediate understanding of loan program guidelines and various loan types (Conventional, FHA, VA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure loan transactions close successfully.
• Monitor sales pipeline, meet SLAs, generate referrals and new opportunities.
• Build personal relationships with clients and explain mortgage options.
• Create and explain mortgage coach presentations for clients (total cost analyses).
• Package files for loan openers/processing staff; lock loans and review closing disclosures.
