Job summary

Luminate Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer in Oregon to originate home loans by developing relationships with real estate agents and builders, and by recommending the best products based on clients’ financial goals.

You will guide applicants through the process, analyze credit and income, present loan options, and ensure compliance with underwriting rules, while meeting sales goals and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred in finance or business.
• Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer or similar role.
• Valid NMLS license.
• Knowledge of LOS and mortgage guidelines (FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional).
• Strong financial documentation and credit analysis skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and sales abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• High integrity and strong ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans by building relationships with real estate agents and referral sources.
• Assist clients in selecting the best mortgage product for their situation.
• Guide clients through the application process and gather required documents.
• Analyze applicant finances, credit, and property value to assess loan feasibility.
• Present loan options and explain terms clearly to applicants.
• Ensure all loans comply with underwriting guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate with underwriters and processors to secure timely closings.
• Stay current with market trends and changes in mortgage regulations.
• Meet sales goals while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
