Job summary

FINITETEK INC in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to work directly with borrowers, develop referral networks, and grow the company’s mortgage business.

You will originate residential loans, review income/assets, guide clients through pre-qualification to closing, and collaborate with processors and underwriters to move files smoothly. This role requires strong communication and proven referral development skills.

Qualifications

• Experience originating residential mortgage loans.
• Strong ability to build borrower relationships and referral networks.
• Solid understanding of credit, income analysis, DTI, loan structure, and underwriting requirements.

• Manage and maintain an active loan pipeline while keeping clients informed of loan status.
• Work closely with processors and underwriters to resolve conditions and keep files moving.
• Recommend suitable mortgage products based on each borrower's financial situation.
• Ensure loan files and documentation meet company and regulatory requirements.

• Previous experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator, Mortgage Loan Officer, or Mortgage Banker.
• Strong residential mortgage lending and loan origination experience.
• Active NMLS license and ability to originate in Florida.
• Proven ability to generate business and develop referral relationships.
• Good understanding of credit, income analysis, DTI, loan structure, and underwriting requirements.
• Experience managing a mortgage pipeline from application through closing.
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with processing and underwriting teams.
