Job summary

TowneBank Mortgage is seeking an experienced Loan Officer to provide a personalized mortgage experience. You will interview applicants, complete applications, secure pricing, and manage loan pipelines while ensuring compliance.

You will work closely with borrowers and real estate partners, leveraging a referral network and the latest LOS and AUS tools to deliver timely loan decisions. A strong sales background and NMLS license are essential.

Qualifications

• Active NMLS# is required.
• At least 1 year of experience originating VA, FHA, Conventional and VHDA loans.
• Proven sales record based on closed loan production.
• Currently has sources of referral business for purchases.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA and VHDA underwriting guidelines.
• High degree of personal integrity; self-motivated; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants and assist with pre-qualification and pre-approval.
• Complete applications and gather supporting documentation.
• Disclose and process regulatory disclosures with customers.
• Maintain and generate referral sources; manage loan pipeline.
• Quote rates and secure pricing via Secondary Marketing.
• Input data into LOS and use AUS for credit recommendations.
