Overview

Originate first mortgage loans, promote the financial institution and lending services to the real estate community, and help identify and serve the community's financial needs through home loan counseling, real estate agent seminars, sales meetings, and by participating in and promoting the institution's community activities.

Responsibilities
  • Solicit first mortgage loans by engaging with clients and informing prospective loan applicants of underwriting guidelines and applicable government regulations.
  • Assist loan applicants in completing applications and necessary disclosures.
  • Complete loan application and pre-processing functions promptly, including preparing initial disclosures such as Loan Estimate.
  • Enter data from new loan applications and documents into the computer system.
  • Order credit reports and other necessary items.
  • Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments.
  • Provide follow-up with borrowers and agents to complete processing.
  • Communicate approvals or denials to borrowers and real estate agents or builders.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding the status of loans.
  • Maintain logs and business sourcing documentation.
  • Distribute marketing materials and general information.
  • Participate in local business development activities as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all regulatory and security policies.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
