Role Description

The Mortgage Loan Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans, guiding clients through the loan application process, and providing clear explanations of available loan products and terms. Day-to-day activities include meeting with prospective borrowers, collecting and reviewing documentation, coordinating with underwriting and processing teams, and ensuring loans comply with regulatory and company standards. The Mortgage Loan Officer will maintain strong relationships with clients, real estate partners, and internal stakeholders, while using Origna8’s technology and tools to manage pipelines and close loans efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Loan Officer, with proven success in originating and managing mortgage loans.
• Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry, including current regulations, market trends, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience in Mortgage Lending processes, from application through closing.
• Familiarity with Underwriting principles and ability to collaborate effectively with underwriting and compliance teams.
• Excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and support borrowers throughout the loan process.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail in reviewing financial documents and credit information.
• Proficiency with mortgage origination software and related digital tools; comfort working in a tech-enabled environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Pittsburgh, PA, managing multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Relevant state mortgage loan originator (MLO) license and NMLS registration, or eligibility to obtain them.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
