Job summary

United Financial Mortgage, LLC is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer for a remote role with commission-first compensation and growth potential. You will contact Realtors, build client relationships, evaluate loan applications, and guide clients through the loan process.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience, a preference for an MLO license in Virginia, and a Bachelor's degree. The role envisages rapid base-salary addition after establishing sales, with opportunities in

Applicants will be the first to be considered for promotion and growth roles with the company. Future roles include a sales manager and an operations manager as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Contact and pitch realtors on using our company to help their clients with their mortgage needs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their mortgage needs and provide appropriate loan solutions.
• Evaluate loan applications and determine eligibility based on creditworthiness, income, and other factors.
• Guide clients through the loan application process, including gathering necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other internal teams to assist with timely and accurate loan processing.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan origination process, addressing client inquiries and concerns.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and changes in lending practices.
• Meet or exceed sales targets by actively promoting loan programs and services.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mortgage sales and loan processing
• Familiarity with industry software such as Arive and Lender Price (not required)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients
• Ability to analyze client's credit profile and make informed lending decisions
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple loan applications simultaneously
• Proficient in negotiating terms and conditions of loans within established guidelines
• Knowledge of federal regulations, including TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements
• Experience with Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines

While this is a remote position, we are ideally looking for someone located in the Richmond, VA area or surrounding counties (Hanover, Chesterfield, Henrico).

This is currently a 100% commission role, but we aim to quickly add a base salary once the candidate's sales are established.
