Our team is experiencing tremendous growth, and we are looking for a results-oriented Loan Originator who can generate new business and referrals, as well as maintain excellent relationships with clients and referral partners. The ideal candidate will assist in closing loan packages while providing high-quality service and communication. Lending or mortgage industry experience is required, along with strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills. Note: This is a remote position. Candidates must be able to work 8am-5pm MST and participate in a weekend on-call rotation 1-2 times/month.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure smooth loan transactions.
2. Monitor sales pipeline, meet sales expectations, and generate new business opportunities.
3. Build personal relationships with clients, providing information and answering questions about mortgage products.
4. Explain mortgage options and create total cost analyses for clients.
5. Prepare and package files for processing staff.
6. Manage loan locking, structuring, and review of final disclosures with clients.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
2. At least 1 year of experience working remotely.
3. At least 1 year of experience as a mortgage loan originator.
4. Licensure with the NMLS in CO or TX.
5. Experience with Encompass.
6. Willingness to participate in a weekend on-call rotation 1-2x/month.
7. Strong relationship-building, sales, communication, and MS Office skills.
8. Intermediate knowledge of loan guidelines and various loan types.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
2. 2+ years of remote work experience.
3. 2+ years as a mortgage loan originator.
4. Licensure with NMLS in additional states.
5. Experience with Encompass, Simple Nexus, Optimal Blue, and Mortgage Coach.
6. Ability to participate in weekend on-call rotations.
7. Excellent relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills.
8. Intermediate understanding of various loan programs.
