Job summary

CapCenter in Richmond, VA seeks a Loan Consultant to guide borrowers from application to closing, serving as their single point of contact and trusted adviser. You will structure each loan, move it through processing and underwriting, and keep borrowers informed at every step.

This role centers on delivering the Zero Closing Cost experience that fuels CapCenter's growth, with a clear path to Senior Loan Consultant and Principal Loan Consultant as you succeed.

Qualifications

• Active NMLS license or ability to obtain within onboarding window.
• Experience in mortgage lending, loan origination, or processing.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a high-volume pipeline.
• Excellent communication and ability to build trust with borrowers.
• Discretion handling confidential financial information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as borrower's primary point of contact from application through closing, delivering a clear, responsive experience.
• Structure each loan and set expectations on program, pricing, and timeline.
• Manage pipeline through processing and underwriting, clearing conditions and moving toward close.
• Collect and validate borrower documentation, ensuring files are complete and accurate.
• Issue disclosures within regulatory timeframes and maintain compliant files.
• Collaborate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to remove obstacles.
