Job summary

Infuze Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to provide information on products and services and to interview applicants for loans, prepare and document required forms, and promote credit union offerings. The role reports to the VP of Mortgage Lending and requires handling credit reports, debt-to-income calculations, and interfacing with members, realtors, and attorneys.

• Two to five years of similar or related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interview loan applicants and assist with the loan application process, including pulling credit reports and estimating monthly payments.
• Obtain and evaluate credit bureau reports and calculate debt-to-income/debt service ratios.
• Communicate with members, realtors, and others via in-person, phone, or electronic methods.
• Explain reasons for denial and explore options for borrowers when loans are denied.
• Develop mortgage loan business through seminars and calls to realtors and contractors; resolve complaints.
• Maintain relationships with real estate agents, attorneys, and contractors to sustain mortgage opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
