Job summary

The Symicor Group is seeking a Manager of Mortgage Lending for a Rockford, IL bank client. The role provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the mortgage lending division, driving performance, growth, compliance, and exceptional customer experience.

You will lead mortgage leadership and processing teams, oversee underwriting, and collaborate across departments to align with the bank’s objectives. The position is not remote and offers a competitive salary with benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible mortgage lending experience.
Minimum of three years of leadership or management experience.
Experience overseeing mortgage operations and secondary market activities.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop the mortgage leadership team, including Mortgage Loan Officers, Mortgage Underwriter, and other staff.
Partner with the Mortgage Underwriter to ensure coaching, development, and performance management.
Oversee loan origination, underwriting, and processing operations to meet service standards.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
