Job summary

FirstBank seeks an experienced Mortgage IT Administrator to lead enhancements to the Encompass mortgage origination system and related IT in the mortgage team. You will manage system changes, coordinate with vendors, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will design and deploy updates, train users, document workflows, and lead a team toward operational excellence while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance or related field preferred.
• 5+ years LOS Administrator or similar mortgage lending experience; Encompass knowledge required.
• 3+ years in management or leadership roles; experience with developers’ requirements desirable.
• Strong office productivity skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Advanced Excel functions, formulas, pivots and macros.
• Knowledge of mortgage lending processes, regulations and industry best practices.
• Proficiency with SQL/XML/SOAP/IIS web services; Encompass configuration and integration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Encompass mortgage origination system and other Mortgage IT systems for optimal performance.
• Design, document, configure, test, and deploy system changes and enhancements.
• Research upgrades and collaborate with project teams for enhancements.
• Monitor regulatory changes; ensure Encompass configurations comply with laws.
• Act as liaison with Encompass vendor and other third-party mortgage IT vendors.
• Develop and deliver training on new features and best practices.
• Prepare documentation of processes and changes for end users and training.
• Ensure Help Desk tickets are processed timely and accurately.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management of staff.
