Confidential Jobs in the United States is seeking an experienced attorney to support mortgage lenders, servicers and financial institutions in default-related matters. You will monitor proceedings, attend hearings, draft documents, advise clients, and coordinate strategies to manage high-volume cases.

The role requires at least 5 years in default servicing, a JD from an accredited law school, and admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in the default servicing industry.
Litigation, foreclosure, eviction and bankruptcy experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Represent secured creditors, financial institutions, and mortgage servicers in all stages of the default process.
Manage and maintain default files in compliance with the firm’s requirements.
Review and sign documents in the default process, including motions and notices.
Review and compile documents required for the default process.
Research statutes, judicial decisions, and local rules.
Attend hearings, mediations, trials, and settlement conferences as needed.
Handle client inquiries via case management systems, phone, and email.
Use the firm’s case management system to meet deadlines and report progress.
Maximize client billing opportunities while maintaining compliance and speed.
