Job summary

Renasant Bank is seeking a Mortgage Data Engineer to own end-to-end data consumption, from sourcing and loading data into the data warehouse to transforming it for business use, building reports for operational departments, and documenting processes for audit review.

The role requires consolidating loan systems, developing an object-oriented data framework for the Mortgage database, and creating Mortgage reports in MicroStrategy using the bank's data warehouse.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data-related field such as Data Science, Analytics or CS.
• 5+ years in MS SQL Server development including stored procedures and views.
• Experience SDLC across analysis, design, development and implementation.
• Ability to connect data to business outcomes with KPI reporting.
• Advanced SQL skills: recursive queries, pivots/unpivots, window functions, ETL.
• Experience building production BI dashboards (Tableau/Power BI/MicroStrategy/SSRS/Cognos).
• Proficient with source control and incident tracking tools.
• Strong communication with stakeholders; Snowflake experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze structured and unstructured data to solve business problems using advanced statistics.
• Consolidate multiple loan systems with documented data transformations per governance.
• Develop and manage a framework to store, transform, and organize the Mortgage database architecture.
• Gather requirements with Origination, Processing, Underwriting, Closing, and other departments to automate processes.
• Create Mortgage reports in MicroStrategy using the Renasant Data Warehouse.
• Create Entity Relationship Diagrams to document database solutions.
• Develop SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for reporting and ad hoc data requests.
• Monitor data quality reports and definitions to ensure accurate reporting.
• Optimize slow running queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
