Job summary

Union Home Mortgage is seeking a Condition Underwriter to review required documentation for loan approvals, ensuring compliance with investor and regulatory standards. The role focuses on accuracy across credit, employment, income, and assets to maximize borrower outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in Prefunding QC or underwriting support, with FHA/VA/USDA experience and a strong eye for detail. On-site position with standard mortgage operations and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of mortgage condition clearing experience or related roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Familiarity with FHA/VA/USDA loan guidelines and investor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review 14-16 condition files per day ensuring compliance with investor and regulator requirements.
• Communicate with sales partners, underwriters, processors, and closers on condition items.
• Keep updated on investor guidelines and overlays; ensure loan-type criteria are met.
• Maintain quality control ratings per company standards.
• Assist loan officers and brokers with condition explanations and scenarios.
