Job summary

Citizens Bank and Trust Company of Vivian is seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to originate compliant loans with focus on LMI and diverse census tracts. You will advise borrowers on suitable products and gather all documentation for underwriting while maintaining regulatory compliance.

In addition, you will engage with community partners, deliver financial wellness and homebuyer education sessions, and represent CB&T at local events.

Responsibilities

• Originate compliant mortgage loans with a focus on LMI and diverse census tracts
• Advise customers on mortgage loans suitable for their financial circumstances
• Gather all information necessary for documentation, analysis, disclosure and underwriting
• Ensure loans in process move through the pipeline; communicate with borrowers and processors
• Know and comply with Federal, State and investor regulations and bank policies
• Maintain high standards of client satisfaction and ensure workflows are efficient
• Manage referrals to introduce new customers to branches and other lines
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with community partners
• Attend affordable homeownership programs and services educational seminars, trainings, and workshops
• Track and report on all community development activities (date, event/training, targeted market reached, number of attendees, evaluation, memos, notes, etc.)
• Represent CB&T at community focused events and meetings
• Maintain list of key strategic community partners
• Conduct financial wellness, homebuyer education workshops, and homeownership seminars with local community and affordable housing partners
• Coordinate and staff CB&T Sponsored, community and partner events and activities for the market area of Caddo Parish and Bossier Parish
• Attend CB&T Community Development training opportunities

PRIMARY DUTIES

Mortgage Loan Originations

• Originate compliant mortgage loans with a focus on, but not limited to, LMI and majority-minority census tracts
• Advise customers on mortgage loans that are appropriate for their individual financial circumstances
• Gather all information necessary for documentation, analysis, disclosure and underwriting loan applications
• Ensure loans in process are moving through the pipeline by regularly reviewing pipeline, communicating with borrowers and processors on additional items needed, interacting with title companies, realtors, attorneys, etc.
• Responsible for knowing and complying with all Federal, State and investor regulations, requirements, and bank policies
• Maintain high standards of client satisfaction and quality, and ensure sales/originator systems and workflows are efficiently controlled
• Manage client referrals to ensure all new customers are introduced to local branches and other appropriate business lines.

Community Development, Engagement, Outreach and Training

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with community partners
• Attend affordable homeownership programs and services educational seminars, trainings, and workshops.
