Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a dedicated collections specialist to help customers resolve delinquent accounts by contacting clients, reviewing documentation, and arranging repayment plans in a compliant manner.

This home-based remote role requires at least one year in collections or customer service, strong verbal and written communication, and knowledge of debt collection practices. The schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday shifts, and starting pay is $20 per hour plus a 10% shift

• Knowledge of fair debt collection practices and related laws is a plus.

Job Description

Collects payment on assigned delinquent accounts by reviewing documentation, contacting customers/clients by telephone and/or written correspondence and arranging repayment schedules in order to minimize loss to the organization.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum one year of experience in collections and/or customer service activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Some knowledge of loan collection policies and procedures, fair debt collection practices, and related laws

• Strong customer service/relations skills

• Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to organize and interpret information

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• 12 months of call center or collections experience preferred

• Mortgage experience highly preferred

Schedule and Pay Information

Set Starting Pay: $20/hour + 10% Shift Differential (EST & CST Time Zones)

Set Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:15 AM - 8:15 PM EST + 1 Saturday once a month 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM EST

This role is designated as U.S. home-based remote.
