Job summary

dfhextcareersite is seeking a Collateral Auditor to ensure bankable collateral loan documents are delivered timely to warehouse banks and custodians in line with warehouse and investor guidelines. The role involves auditing closed mortgage loan files, validating imaged collateral documents and loan data, and correcting issues to prevent denials.

Occasional overtime may be required, with collaboration across origination teams, title companies and warehouse vendors.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mortgage terminology and documents.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive role with high quality.
• Excellent attention to detail and cognitive skills.
• Experience with Encompass operating system is a plus.
• Loan Closing background is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse lending is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver closed mortgage loan files daily to warehouse banks/custodians.
• Audit imaged collateral documents and loan data for accuracy.
• Identify and correct issues to prevent denials by warehouse banks and investors.
• Collaborate with origination teams, title companies and warehouse vendors.
