Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Closing Document Review Specialist to audit mortgage loan closing packages for accuracy and timely execution.

The role involves reviewing all signed documents, identifying missing items, and coordinating with branches and other departments to resolve issues. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 1–2 years related experience, strong attention to detail, and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Audit closing package to confirm all closing documents are present, signed and dated properly.
• Follow up with applicable parties on any incorrect or missing documents.
• Communicate with branch and other departments on status of follow up.
• Cure all investor and insuring suspense items and communicate with post-closing/insuring departments on status.
• Assign final closing documents to respective container in document imaging system.
• Maintain acceptable timelines and QC score for post-closing activities.
• Maintain outstanding condition pipeline and keep comments current regarding follow up documentation.
• Clear all post-closing conditions as applicable.
• Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase goodwill and profit of the company.
• Ability to work overtime.
