IBC Bank is seeking a Mortgage Accountant I in an in-office role to support the Mortgage Accounting department. Responsibilities include posting invoices, recording payments, preparing general ledger tickets, reconciling ledgers, posting journal entries, and organizing invoices.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to balance ledgers, and proficiency in Excel/Word. 2 years of college preferred or equivalent related experience in accounting or mortgage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred.
• College degree required or 3+ years in accounting, mortgage, or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Balance daily transactions and resolve exceptions timely and accurately.
• Prepare and post accounting entries to the general ledger.
• Balance general ledgers with subsidiary records and resolve exceptions.
• Review and approve daily wire requests.
• Monthly reconciliations of mortgage accounts.
• Review mortgage-related invoices for Accounts Payable.
• Liaise with vendors for W-9 requests and AP.
• Perform research requested by management, auditors, customers, or staff.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
