Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking individuals to serve as Indirect Fire Infantrymen, operating mortars and coordinating with squads to deliver indirect fire in various combat scenarios. You will train to master mortars, camouflage positions, and conduct reconnaissance missions as part of a disciplined unit.

As skills grow, you may supervise teams, implement combat orders, and coordinate offensive and defensive operations.

Qualifications

• Interest in ammunition and weaponry.
• Readiness to accept a challenge and face danger.
• Physically and mentally in shape.

Responsibilities

• Set up, load, and fire three types of mortars.
• Employ crew and weapons in offensive, defensive, and retrograde ground combat.
• Operate, clean, and store automatic weapons.
• Employ, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.
• Carry out scouting missions to spot enemy troops and gun locations.
