Job summary

The Youth Development Professional at Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County plays a vital role in creating a safe, engaging environment for youth ages 5–12 in our KidsCare program. This part-time position offers morning hours (approx.

9–10 hours weekly) and opportunities to build positive relationships through structured activities. You will supervise youth, deliver educational activities, promote inclusion and belonging, and support administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Demonstrated competence working with youth ages 5-12.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to move continuously throughout program areas and monitor children.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise and engage youth during daily program activities.
• Enforce health, safety, and program area rules; monitor behavior.
• Deliver fun, creative, and educational activities promoting learning and growth.
• Foster belonging, competence, usefulness, and influence among youth.
• Build positive relationships with members, families, and school staff.
• Assist with attendance tracking, recordkeeping, and program documentation.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
