Job summary

The Barnett Hotel, New Orleans, is seeking a Part-time Morning Server for Brutto Americano. You will warmly greet guests, take orders, deliver meals, and ensure an exceptional dining experience in a vibrant Art Deco setting near the French Quarter.

Previous serving or hospitality experience, strong communication, and the ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 30 lbs are required. POS and cash handling training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in serving or hospitality preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–30 lbs.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Check back with guests regularly and anticipate needs.
• Process payments, handle cash, and balance receipts accurately.
• Maintain table cleanliness, reset tables, and support dining room organization.
• Communicate guest needs and concerns to management or kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties.
