Job summary

Luke's Local Grocery in San Francisco is seeking Level 2 Cooks for a morning shift in our Commissary Kitchen. You will follow organized prep lists, prepare dishes to recipes, and help with washing, chopping, and plate preparation in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have experience in high-volume catering or restaurant kitchens, strong knife skills, and a proactive, team-ready mindset. English proficiency and 18+ age are required; ServSafe is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume catering or restaurant environments preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older and proficient in English.
• ServSafe certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Vegetable preparation (washing, chopping, etc.).
• Cooking grains and legumes.
• Egg preparation.
• Following recipes with attention to detail.
• Take direction from chefs or kitchen supervisors and follow instructions.
• Care and attention to final product.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Adhere to kitchen food safety and sanitation standards.
