Job summary

Flik Hospitality Group is hiring a full-time Prep Cook for Avenues The World School in New York City. Schedule runs 6:30 am–3:00 pm, days may vary. Previous food service and cooking experience is preferred.

Pay range is $19.00–$21.00 per hour, with perks including free meals, uniforms, and training opportunities. Online applications accepted only. Responsibilities include following recipes and production sheets, obtaining the daily schedule from the Chef, and maintaining HACCP sanitation

Qualifications

• Previous food service and cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Obtains daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy. Follows HACCP guidelines.
• Completes and follows daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Tastes completed meals to ensure quality.
• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation time.
• Serves customers at multiple stations and ensures proper portion control.
• Resolves customer concerns and performs other duties as assigned.
