Qualifications

  • Journalism or video production degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years newsroom experience is desirable.
  • Strong eye for lighting, audio and visual storytelling.
  • Digital-first mindset for social/web platforms.
  • Willingness to learn drone operations (Part 107 a plus).
  • Strong communication and reliable field presence.

Responsibilities

  • Own the morning live experience with high-quality live shots and interviews.
  • Pivot quickly to breaking news with urgency and visuals.
  • Gather digital components and social snippets for every story.
  • Serve as liaison between field and control room for seamless production.
  • Support midday/11 AM newscasts with fresh content and live help.
  • Troubleshoot field technical challenges calmly to keep broadcasts on track.
