Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Union Street in Schenectady, NY. The role involves performing venipuncture and capillary collections, data entry, and ensuring accurate patient and specimen information while delivering excellent patient service.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 10:30am with rotating Saturdays; travel to additional sites is required. A high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy training or certification are required; 1 year of phlebotomy experience

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience preferred.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Mansioni

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
