Job summary

The role features a 35-hour workweek in a hybrid setup based in New York City, with an onsite expectation of two days weekly at WQXR's Manhattan headquarters. Salary ranges from $120,000 to $145,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional live, on-air radio experience in classical music.
• Strong writing and copyediting skills.

Responsibilities

• Host the live morning broadcast 5 days a week.
• Develop and conduct interviews with classical artists.
• Write short-form website articles and listener newsletters.
• Cultivate direct listener relationships via email and social channels.
• Pitch live during pledge drives and draft fundraising scripts.
• Assist with training incoming announcers and mentor staff.
