Job summary

March-Inc in Windsor, CT seeks a Direct Support Professional for Millbrook, 20 hours per week. The DSP provides individualized support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and may work with or without direct supervision.

Responsibilities include meal planning, activity development, medication administration, transportation, documentation, and collaboration with the Residential Program Manager and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver's license required.
• At least 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily instruction and assistance in accordance with each person’s individual need.
• Meal planning and preparation/menus and dietary guidelines followed.
• Medication administration.
• Money management and making purchases of personal items.
• Transportation.
• Home maintenance and personal hygiene.
• Complete all necessary documentation during shift (behavior plans, goals, logs).
• Maintain records of care and progress and report observations.
