Continuum of Care in Southington, CT is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in home settings. You will provide hands-on care, help with daily living activities, and promote independence and community involvement.
The role requires evening, weekend, and overnight availability with a focus on compassionate, respectful care and coordination with the care team. Training and certification requirements apply as per DDS and CoC guidelines.
weekend shift differential of $1 dollar more an hour.
The Direct Support Professional is responsible for a variety of duties related to the overall care of the individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, enabling each person to live a valued and meaningful life. Support and care shall be delivered in the most respectful and dignified manner. The DSP assists each individual to live in a home of their own, develop and support reciprocal relationships, and become part of their community. The DSP supports individuals to learn and enhance activities of daily living, fosters involvement in social and community activities and supports personal care needs as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
