Job summary

Visiting Angels Hillsborough, NJ, is seeking a Morning CHHA to support clients’ safety, dignity, and independence at home. You will travel to clients’ homes to provide direct care, including personal care, mobility assistance, and daily living support.

Responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship, with supervision from a Registered Nurse. This is a per-diem, non-exempt role offering varied shift options and HIPAA-compliant access to client information.

Qualifications

• Valid HHA certification licensed by the NJ State Board of Nursing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Ability to observe patients and respond to health changes.
• Compassionate with strong communication; able to work independently or with a team.
• Physical stamina for mobility tasks and caregiving duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and grooming to clients.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility as needed.
• Perform light homemaking and meal preparation.
• Support clients with daily living activities.
• Follow care plans under RN supervision.
• Maintain HIPAA and client confidentiality.

Job description

Visiting Angels Hillsborough, NJ is looking to add a caring, compassionate Morning CHHA to our team. A Morning CHHA works in support of the client’s safety, dignity, well-being and ability to remain living at home. Our office in Hillsborough provides Certified Caregivers for the local area including Belle Mead, Edison, Piscataway, Somerset, and many others.

A Morning CHHA travels to the client’s home to provide direct care including but not limited to:

• Personal Care and Grooming
• Ambulation
• Special Procedures
• Homemaking, Meal Preparation, Light Housekeeping
• Assistance with other Activities of Daily Living

A Visiting Angels Morning CHHA works under a Registered Nurse, and there are no supervision responsibilities with this position. The CHHA has HIPAA restricted access to certain client information, and is an hourly per-diem, non-exempt Direct Care staff member with no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week.

Morning CHHA Requirements

• Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA), licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing
• HHA Certification Reimbursement available after 90 days
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Drivers Preferred
• Ability to perform patient observation accurately and respond promptly to changing health conditions
• Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to assist with mobility tasks and perform caregiving duties throughout shifts
