Job summary

Tandem Hospitality Group LLC, operating Show Pony inside Origin Hotel in Kansas City, seeks a Morning Restaurant Server to deliver a welcoming breakfast experience from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, including weekends.

Starting wage $12.50 per hour plus tips, with a focus on guest needs, attentive service, and maintaining dining area standards. Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, serving courses, wine service, handling payments, and supporting team during busy mornings.

Qualifications

• One year of prior food & beverage experience preferred.
• Prior guest relations training.
• Knowledge of proper food handling.
• Strong written/verbal communications skills.
• Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, courtesy, and teamwork.
• Punctuality and reliable attendance required.
• Proper food safety training and certification as described by law.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers warmly.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
• Prepare dining tables for service and set up utensils and condiments.
• Take guest food and beverage orders accurately.
• Know current menu choices and specials.
• Seat guests and relay needs to cooks.
• Provide wine service and table-side pouring.
• Record revenue and process payments.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks and assist with events.
• Answer phones with proper etiquette.
• Build positive working relationships with coworkers.
• Bus tables and assist with dish handling.
• Assist kitchen with prep or plating.
• Clean front of house areas and maintain clean entry.
