Job summary

Appalachian Community Services seeks a MORES Therapist to provide community-based crisis intervention and therapy for youth in acute mental health and substance use crises. You will perform assessments, create personalized care plans, and link youth to outpatient/inpatient services while coordinating with care teams.

Responsibilities include crisis response, case management, and outreach to partners such as law enforcement, schools, and hospitals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
• Must be licensed or board-eligible/provisional licensed professional (LPC, LPA, LMFT, OR LCSW).
• Must have a valid, unrestricted, state-appropriate driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with care teams as needed.
• Maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Participate in supervision (if applicable based on licensure).
• Crisis intervention: Respond to crises and stabilize the youth.
• Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop care plans.
• Referral and linkage: Connect youths to appropriate services.
• Case management: Ongoing support and continuity of care.
• Outreach and education: Engage with stakeholders to promote mental health awareness.
