Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, a Marcus Hotels & Resorts property in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, is seeking a friendly Server to tailor the dining experience and deliver food and beverage service with professionalism.

You will greet guests, learn the menu, input orders, deliver meals, and ensure guest satisfaction while adhering to liquor regulations. This role offers flexible scheduling, employee meals, staff discounts, and opportunities to grow within Marcus Hotels & Resorts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must be 18+ to serve alcohol.
• Prior service experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service and etiquette.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and explain specials and promotions.
• Understand menu ingredients and preparation.
• Enter guest orders into POS system.
• Retrieve and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor laws.
• Replenish beverages and maintain guest satisfaction.
• Process payments and thank guests.
• Complete side work and restock condiments.
• Maintain self-banking procedures.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Manager.

Tucked within historic Lake Geneva, Timber Ridge Lodge at the Grand Geneva Resort, is the only all-season, all-suite, destination of its kind in the Midwest. Featuring 50,000 square feet of year-round, indoor/outdoor waterpark excitement, Timber Ridge Lodge is a family bonding adventure that’s soaked in memories. Just 90 minutes from Chicago and 50 minutes from Milwaukee, this property is also home to two championship golf courses, WELL Spa and fitness center, Mountain Top Ski Park, award-winning restaurants, and 1300 acres of picturesque grounds.
What you will be doing:

• Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
• Understand the menu including ingredients and preparation.
• Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
• Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
• Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.
• Maintain self-banking procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
  

What we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, 18 years old to be able to serve alcohol.
• Prior service experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and etiquette.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Service-oriented with the ability to take direction.
• Strong communication skills and familiarity with hospitality.
• Ability to build effective relationships with management, staff, and the public.
• Ability to life and transport trays up to 30 lbs. through crowded spaces as well as stand for a full shift.
• Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
