Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is seeking a friendly Member Services Representative to be the welcoming face for members and guests. This part-time role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to advance into leadership positions within the metroplex.

You will tour prospects, sell memberships and YMCA programs, and provide accurate information using internal systems. The job emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and a positive community atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic web navigation.
• Strong communication and professional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Give quality tours to potential new members tailored to their interests.
• Promote and sell memberships and other YMCA programs (e.g., swim lessons, youth sports, personal training).
• Be knowledgeable about program offerings and look up accurate information online or in internal systems when needed.
• Greet members by name and scan members in.
• Build relationships and help retain members.
• Provide prompt, friendly, and professional service.
• Multitask at a fast pace while managing front desk responsibilities.
• Participate in paid team meetings and trainings within 60 days.
• Perform light cleaning duties and hospitality tasks (coffee, towels, stocking).
• Support your team to create a positive and engaging environment.

Requirements

As a Member Services Representative, you’ll be the face of the YMCA, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for members of all backgrounds and abilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Give quality tours to potential new members that are tailored to their interests.
• Promoting and sellingmemberships as well as other YMCA programs (e.g., swim lessons, youth sports, personal training, etc.)
• Being knowledgeable about program offerings and proactively looking up accurate information online or through internal systems when needed
• Greeting members by name and scanning members in

Schedule:

• Flexible hours: Open, close, or mid-day shifts available
• Hours vary between 10 to 29 per week, depending on branch needs
