Job summary

Guidepost Montessori in Houston is hiring Substitute Guides for our Galleria school. This part-time position offers varied hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

You will support a mixed-age Montessori classroom (3 months to 6 years) and help create a calm, engaging space where children explore at their own pace. You’ll develop learning spaces, assist in activities, and build warm relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 3-6 in a school or childcare setting.
• Positive, adaptable and collaborative mindset.
• Genuine love for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Observe children closely to understand and support their individual needs.
• Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment.
• Support individual and small-group learning activities.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Collaborate with Lead Guides and team members to create a strong classroom community.
