Job summary

LePort Montessori seeks an on-call substitute teacher to work in our Toddler and Preschool classrooms. You will join a supportive team to foster a nurturing, caring, and peaceful environment, modeling positive behaviors and supporting transitions throughout the day.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with a high school diploma and 12 ECE units, and must pass a background check. Prior teaching experience and compliance with state standards are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• 12 Early Childhood Education Units.
• Must successfully clear criminal background check.
• Previous teaching experience.
• Compliance with state education standards and credentials.

Responsibilities

• Model positive behaviors and kindness for children.
• Support group time and outdoor play.
• Facilitate smooth transitions throughout the day.
• Prepare engaging learning materials.
• Help children with independence milestones.
• Support language development, social and emotional learning, and executive functioning skills.
