Job summary

Bezos Academy seeks a Mentor Montessori Teacher to serve as an instructional coach for our Montessori-inspired preschools in under-resourced communities. You will coach and model best practices, using data to tailor plans that foster thriving classrooms and kindergarten readiness.

You will mentor learners in Bezos Academy’s credentialing program and collaborate with Lead and Assistant Teachers. You will report to the Head of School, contribute to operations, and support the school’s mission to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Primary Montessori diploma (AMI/AMS/MACTE-accredited).
• 5+ years as a primary Montessori lead teacher (ages 3-6).
• Proven track record of strong child outcomes as a teacher.
• Experience coaching and training educators.
• Credentials to lead ECE teachers in WA state.
• Clear background checks and required health screenings.
• Experience tracking student progress records.
• Experience working with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Support setup and evolution of the prepared environment for development.
• Inventory and recommend classroom materials for all areas.
• Maintain knowledge of routines and ensure smooth transitions.
• Develop lesson plans aligned to curriculum with DEI focus.
• Model and support observation, record-keeping, and assessment processes.
• Use data to evaluate progress and plan teacher professional learning.
• Supervise children in various daily activities as needed.
• Support teachers’ reflection and growth in practice.
• Act as field consultant for Bezos Academy’s Montessori credentialing program.
