Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Lead Infant or Toddler Teacher to lead a mixed-age classroom (0–3) in a Montessori environment designed to support independence, movement, and discovery. You’ll observe each child and prepare an engaging, respectful space.

Qualifications

• Montessori certification or enrolled in program.
• Experience with children aged 0–3 in daycare or preschool.
• Aligned with child-led educational philosophies (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar).
• ECE or Child Development credits required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a child-related field.

Responsibilities

• Observe each child to support physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Respect and follow each child’s natural rhythms for sleeping, eating, and toileting.
• Prepare and maintain an orderly Montessori environment that fosters trust, movement, and exploration.
• Support independence by encouraging children to participate in care activities.
• Build warm relationships with children and families.
• Partner with parents to support each child’s growth and development.
• Lead and collaborate with classroom team to create a strong, respectful community.
