Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking a Lead Infant or Toddler Teacher in Naperville to lead a mixed-age classroom (0-3) in a Montessori environment designed to support independence and discovery.

You will observe, prepare the environment, build relationships with children and families, partner with parents, and collaborate with the classroom team. The role includes sponsorship for Montessori certification and a salary range of $40,000–$50,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with children ages 0-3 in daycare or preschool settings
• Alignment with child-led educational philosophies (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar)
• Bachelor’s degree in a child-related field and ECE or Child Development credits

Responsibilities

• Observe each child to understand and support their development
• Respect and follow each child's natural rhythms for sleeping, eating, and toileting
• Prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly environment that fosters trust, movement, and exploration
• Support independence by encouraging children to participate in care activities
• Build warm, meaningful relationships with children and families
• Partner closely with parents to support each child's growth and development
• Lead and collaborate with classroom team members to create a strong, respectful community

Education
