Job summary

Bezos Academy in Everett, WA is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher I (Float) to support a multi-site network of Montessori-inspired classrooms. You will assist in classrooms, supervise mealtimes, and help with daily operations while working five hours daily, 11:00am–4:00pm, totaling 25 hours per week.

The role offers paid sick time, a 401(k) with 4% employer match, and a starting wage of $26 per hour, with range $26–$29 per hour.

Qualifications

• Age 18 with high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass background checks and tuberculosis screenings.
• Ability to independently supervise young children and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Reliable transportation to commute and attend shifts as scheduled.
• Must have a valid Food Handler’s Permit or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a floating assistant teacher, providing support wherever needed.
• Independently supervise children throughout the day in classrooms and other areas.
• Assist in maintaining accurate child and family records.
• Complete Montessori basics training within seven days of hire.
