Job summary

Bezos Academy is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher (Float) in Everett, WA. You will support Montessori-inspired preschool classrooms, supervise meals and activities, and assist with daily operations across our network in under-resourced communities.

The role requires a minimum of 25 hours per week, typically 11:00am–4:00pm, with a compensation range of $26–$29 per hour and a starting rate of $26 per hour. Benefits include sick time and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass background checks and TB screenings.
• Must obtain Food Handler’s Permit or be willing to obtain one.
• Must complete 20 hours of onboarding by the seventh day.

Responsibilities

• Serve as floating assistant teacher in multiple classrooms as needed.
• Supervise children and manage daily activities (meals, transitions, rest).
• Maintain accurate child and family records.
• Complete Montessori basics training within seven days of hire.
