Job summary

Bezos Academy in Des Moines, WA is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher (Float) to support classrooms, supervise mealtimes, and assist in the daily operations of our Montessori-inspired preschool network serving under-resourced communities.

This position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift 40 lbs, pass background checks, and complete state trainings. The 25-hour weekly schedule runs 9:00am–2:00pm, with a 401(k) plan offering a 4% employer match and paid sick time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to supervise young children safely and communicate effectively.
• Flexibility to support different classrooms as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a floating assistant teacher, supporting wherever needed.
• Independently supervise children during various activities.
• Maintain child and family records.
• Complete Montessori basics training within seven days of hire.
