Job summary

Agape Montessori School in Olathe, KS is seeking a versatile Floating Assistant Teacher to support classrooms for children 6 weeks through 6 years. You will assist Lead Teachers, step in where needed, and maintain a high-quality Montessori experience across age groups.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Experience: Experience across multiple age groups (infants to age 6) preferred.
• Certifications: CPR, First Aid, and health & Safety training.
• Clearances: Pass background check, health assessment, TB test; comply with regulations.
• Core Skills: Adaptability, communication, observation, teamwork, and understanding of development from infancy to age 6.

Responsibilities

• Classroom Support: Adapt quickly to support routines across infant to primary environments.
• Environment Maintenance: Prepare, organize, and sanitize Montessori materials.
• Child Observation & Care: Provide attentive care and support self-care routines as age-appropriate.
• Community & Safety: Maintain a safe environment and foster positive relationships with children, staff and parents across ages.
