Job summary

Bellevue Montessori School in Bellevue, WA is looking for an Early Childhood Classroom Assistant (ages 3 to 6) to support Lead Teachers across Toddler, EC/Kindergarten and Elementary programs. The 10:00AM–2:00PM shift runs Monday to Friday year‑round, including breaks and the Summer program.

Starting rate is $20.50 per hour with a $200 bonus after 3 months probation. Ideal candidates are passionate about children, patient, team players, and able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 25lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Passionate about working with children.
• Patient, calm, and understanding.
• Team player with reliable attendance.
• Montessori Certificate preferred but not required.
• Complete DCYF requirements (background check, CPR/FA, TB, vaccines).

Responsibilities

• Greet caregivers and assist with arrivals and departures.
• Cover breaks and lunches across rooms.
• Lead group activities with stories, movement, songs.
• Assist with snack preparation.
• Engage children to promote language development.
• Support Montessori methods when assisting.
• Apply positive discipline to develop self‑control.
• Clean and sanitize classrooms and learning tools.
• Follow safety procedures and school policies.
• Assist in other duties as needed.
